Editorial


The fifth issue of the JISR, the Journal of Independent Studies and Research, Vol. 3, No. 1, January 2005 has yet another diversified and interesting collection of papers. It includes topics from mobile database computing to marketing strategies in rural India to the economy of national security.

Some of the selected papers were presented at the SZABIST Fourth Research Conference on Management, Computer and Social Sciences held on December 11, 2004 at SZABIST, Karachi. In addition, there are also submissions from Denmark, India, and Singapore. The subscribers to the Journal currently exceed 1350 in over 15 countries.
