SZABIST is a renowned Institute of Science and Technology, ranked among the best in Asia by AsiaInc, AsiaWeek and BusinessWeek. SZABIST – JISR (The Journal of Independent Studies and Research) is Pakistan's first online refereed journal with the objective of promoting research activities in Pakistan. It is dedicated to the dissemination of research among institutions, universities, researchers, and students.

JISR seeks to publish articles that identify, extend, or unify scientific knowledge pertaining to management and other disciplines. Of particular interest are articles that have strong potential significance to a broad cross section of management and social science researchers.

The member users of this e-journal can view and download research articles posted. They can also post their own research articles subject to satisfactory technical review by referees and acceptance by the Editorial Board.
